Today we discussed the differences between the belief and truth. We looked at a movie clip from The Day After Tomorrow where the character Sam tells everyone not to go outside, and that the storm is about to get worse. He was right, but that didn’t change the fact that nobody believed him telling the truth.

We face this daily in our lives, and the high school youth are no different. Sometimes when we attempt to share the truth with people, people don’t listen or refuse to believe the truth. This behavior doesn’t change the fact that truth is truth. It doesn’t dis-prove truth either.

It’s not an easy thing to tell people the truth about Christ, especially when we feel like some of them won’t believe us. It can be embarrassing being the only one who knows the truth. But the whole point is this:

We cannot be ashamed of telling people the truth. Just like in the video clip, people’s beliefs do not change what the truth is. Truth is firm and doesn’t fault. It’s truth.
